Oslo City Hub is made out of shipping containers which makes the construction flexible and easy to take down and relocate as required. The electric vehicles are stored and charged at the hub overnight. The terminal is an important step towards emission-free goods distribution in Oslo. DB Schenker views the Oslo City Hub project as an opportunity to harvest knowledge and develop a concept that can be transferred to other cities in Norway.

DB Schenker started their cargo bike operation with the use of two simple containers located at the port of Oslo. The electric cargo bikes are called Armadillo, supplied by Velove. DB Schenker upscaled their solution to Oslo City Hub, replacing the two containers and relocating the three cargo bikes.
